We're loving this... Roman Klementsov, of Finland’s Lahti Institute of Design, has won the Supreme Gold and Gold Star awards at the Student Starpack 2009 awards with his milk pack design.
Klementsov, a second-year product design student, picked up the awards at a ceremony at the IOM3 offices in central London last week for his pack design – a bottle which features a stand-up base in the shape of cow’s udders.
Lahti Institute of Design won the IOP: The Packaging Society’s Eric Dickens Memorial Award for the most successful college for the third year running.
Winners from UK institutions included Narut Ruthiraphong, of Central St Martins College of Art & Design, who won the Logoplaste Milk Pack Sponsor Award with a portable and easy-to-use milk bottle, while Sam Gretton, of Swindon College, won the Hasbro Sponsor Award for a new board game with his Brain Box concept.
